If your're considering to get a new iMac then there's some good news for you. Apple has slashed $200 on its lates version of iMac pc which is said to be an entry level desktop. As obvious, by introducing an entry level desktop, Apple has brought down the configuration of the pc signitficantly.
The new iMac is 40 percent slower than the previous version of low end pc from apple. It has the same sleek design but lacs in some regular features of an iMac. It has a low voltage 1.4 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor along with 8GB of RAM, and has a 500GB hard drive. The hard drive in the new iMac has been brought down to 500 GB from 1 TB, and an Intel integrated GPU two steps down from the high-end Intel graphics card in the previous model. It does have the same 21.5-inch, 1080p screen and the same 8 GB of RAM. Adding more to it, the amount of RAM cannot be upgraded after purchase, but the hard drive can be upgraded for a price of $50 to 1 TB drive.
The New entry segment iMac is neither good for gaming nor for animation. This system will mostly be appealing to schools and anyone else who wants an iMac at a lower price.
