Facing Comeptition From Xiaomi Mi 3, Motorola Slashes Price of Moto G by Rs 2000

Motorola has finally dropped the price of its popular device, Moto G in India by Rs 2000. Flipkart is now selling it at a reduced price of Rs10,499 for its 8GB variant and Rs 11,499 for the 16GB variant.
This move from Motorola has made it obvious that the company is expecting a tough competition form the recent arrivals in the market that include the Asus Zenphone 5 and the Xiaomi's Mi 3 which is gaining popularity day by day. The last time Xiaomi's Mi 3 sold like hot cakes and ran out of stock withing 5 seconds of launch. This shows the growing demand of the Mi 3 over any other phone in India at the moment. Motorola when launched months ago had its own sweet time dominating the markets in the country with its cheap price and high end hardware. But now its time for the others to play their game. Especially when hardly a few months old company OnePlus is planning to launch its smartphone which it calls the 'Flagship Killer'.
The Moto G gives you a 4.5 inch HD display, a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM running Android KitKat 4.4 out of the box and comes with a battery back up of 2070 mAh. Int the camera department it provides you a decent 5 MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 1.3 MP snapper. With all those specs Xiaomi' Mi 3 or even the Asus Zenphone 5 have a clear win over the Moto G and can easily take away the market share from Moto G in India. So farm the companies investing in the Indian smartphone markets have well understood the consumer mentality here and has been focusing and investing heavily in the budget device segment providing high end features with quality hardware which is why these recent companies in India have been able to perform well in the India.
