Flipkart's Digiflip Pro XT 712 tablet at 9,999 : A hit or A flop?

Following the footsteps of Amazon, the Indian E-Commerce giant, Flipkart launched its first tablet in the budget range, the DIGIFLIP PRO XT 712, pricing it at Rs 9,999. The company has been promoting the product ever since but the question that strikes us is whether Flipkart will be able to make it a success at the specifications which already exists at a lower price and is more or less outdated?
The Digiflip Pro XT 712 has a 7 inch HD display and is powered by a 1.3 Ghz quad core MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB Ram. The 16 GB internal memory can be expanded by 32 GB using SD cards and runs Android Jelly Bean OS. The tablet also comes with offers worth Rs 5,000 for those using Flipkart apps to shop on the device. Also with the tablet, comes along a Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece as well as a 50 per cent discount on backcover purchase from Flipkart. The company claimed the total benefits will add up to Rs 9,000. It has a 5MP rear camera with flash and a 2MP front camera. It has dual SIM cards slot with 3G access, though only via one of them at the point of time. The rest of the connectivity package is as usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and USB OTG.
The Digiflip Pro Tablet from Flipkart so far seems like a poor attempt to enter the electronic markets which already has a lot of competition from various national and international brands offering a whole range of tablets with competitive specs.
