HIVE- The next big thing in Indian mobile industry?
What is hive? Well no one knows except Xolo who has been teasing it for past few days on their website and social media platforms. We have been following the hive program regularly from the day it was launched and it does seem interesting to us. Xolo has been teasing with different articles which may seem like philosophy articles but we think Xolo may have just dropped enough hints to have the rumor mills buzzing. Well what could be hive? Well the possibility is endless but we have a very strong reason to believe that it may be a Custom UI Which would be there in future Xolo phones. Xolo may be a developing a complete new android UI Much like Touchwiz , MIUI , LEWA,Color etc and use it in their phones which we thing is great step to differentiate from the competition A strong reason to believe this is xolo article about Indians fancy for foreign made goods and how they want to change it. This may also mean that they are planning to manufacture their phones in India but it seems farfetched now.
Xolo recently published one more article which was focused on developers “HIVE is that forge. It's a platform where we follow democracy in creation .The HIVE pits the thinkers and the doers together under one huge umbrella so that the result is beneficial for both.”
Going by what Xolo said there might be one more possibility that Xolo is thinking about an aftermarket custom rom. Much like Xiaomi Miui which is the forked out version of android os used in Xiaomi phones but it is available as a custom rom in nearly most of the popular mobiles and many people prefer to use it over their inbuilt ui so is hive is an Indian answer to miui? It may be and we certainly hope so that it happens. Because it may be a huge step for an Indian mobile company.

Xolo has come a long a way from when they first launched their first phone in 2012 Xolo X900 the first phone to have an Intel processor. Since then they have launched many phones with some of their best seller being the Xolo q800, q700 and the recently launched q1010i. Xolo has been the only Indian mobile company which differentiated it from others by launching phones with nvidia, qualcomm, Broadcom, mediatek, processors while other remained stuck with MediaTek. Xolo also launched the nvidia tegra note as Xolo tegra note in India due to their partnership with nvidia, they are also the first and so far the only mobile company to release source code for their phones (Xolo q1100).
