How to control your AC through your smartphone?

It won't be my farsightedness if i talk about a "Smart Home" where all the major appliances are integrated through artificial intelligence or may be an interactive Operating System. We already have Smart Watches, Smart referigerators, Smart lightening systems on the roll with a lot of other gadgets and appliances on their way. Meanwhile, to bridge the gap between their research and market availability, researchers have been trying their hands on various devices that connect with your current conventional appliances and integrate them with your smartphones which makes it all the more simple to handle them by giving a universal control system functionality to the gadget that stays with you 24x7.
One such device is the ThinkEco SmartAC Wi-Fikit. The ThinkEco SmartAC kit aims to bring a number of the features from the Quirky+GE Aros to your existing air conditioner. Quite similar to how Google’s Nest Thermostat works, the SmartEco acts as an intermediary module that's present in-between the air conditioning unit itself and the wall outlet. The system then connects in the usual fashion to an available home Wi-Fi network to allow the cooling system to be controlled directly through a companion smartphone app on iOS or Android. The device is meant for those who want to adopt tighter control over the cooling system when away from the home, or get an idea of current temperatures in their house then it could be the ideal solution on a restricted budget. Owners of the SmartEco module can use the app to control the system when away from the property. At the office or on vacation for example. It’s also possible to get an instant reading of the temperature thanks to an on-board sensor.

The SmartEco app provides a very handy running total of the energy that is being consumed by the system on a daily basis. The company is offering the device for a discounted price of $120.
