HTC E8 : the plastic m8 officially launched
By Deepanshu Kumar, June 12th, 2014
HTC has launched the E8 in China for nearly half the price of HTC M8( which has an aluminium body). Having more or less the same features as found on HTC M8 it has a plastic body which looks fairly good and solid.
Despite of having a plastic body, the E8 has an ergonomic Dual Curve Design which give it a decent grip when held better than that of HTC desire 816. It will feature a 1080p display along with beautiful Touch Up user interface to match up with the different skin tones. The phone also has a 13 MP camera which is reported to be slower and the TV remote control feature is absent. Given the near-identical features as the M8 i.e. Motion Launch, HTC BoomSound, Snapdragon 801, 5-inch 1080p screen, MicroSD expansion, the E8 is easily a steal. The company will push in the dual-sim variant of the phone soon as mentioned as per what is mentioned on its website.
E8 is available in four colors i.e Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue, and Misty Gray. The new device is said to be a little bit taller and thicker than the M8. The price set for the phone is CN¥2,799 which is more or less equal to INR 27,000 approximately. There was no word from the company for its launch in India so far.
