Along with the launch of Lenovo S850 and S860, the company also unveiled its budget device, the Lenovo S660 at the MWC 2014. It runs Android Jelly Bean version 4.2 and a quad core processor and DOit apps just like any other S-series device .
The phone is not a 5-inch phablet like what we generally see in most of the phones nowadays but actually comes close at 4.7-inches. The display is a qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. Once again, the company skipped the 720p mark with Lenovo S660 and the display is nothing to boast about.
Under the hood of Lenovo S660 runs a 1.3 Ghz quad-core MediaTek processor. The added cores will definitely keep the phone smooth and racing. The 1GB RAM ensures that the phone won’t lag and the processor and RAM somewhat make up for the poor display and the older Android OS. The phone comes with 8GB internal memory and a MicroSD card slot which supports expansion up to an additional 32GB.
For connectivity, the S660 supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery (replaceable), rated to deliver talktime up to 10 hours on 2G mode and up to 7-10 hours on 3G.
