Myths about rooting busted

Rooting is one of the most common word that one hears when talking about android. Few days ago I wrote about root and why should you root your android phone, you can read that here. But all of us must have met a person who is afraid of rooting his/her phone, mostly it is due to some wrong information that they have got.
2.) Rooting slows down the phone: - Many thinks that rooting slows down the phone. Well it is not even 1% true. Rooting your phone does not affect your phone in any way in fact just rooting your phone doesn’t even make it faster. It’s the customization that you do after rooting that effects your phone, so if you feel that your phone is working slower it’s not because of rooting, it may be due to some customization that this happens
3.) Rooting deletes all the data- Some people actually still believe it that rooting cause data to be deleted: p. rooting your phone doesn’t affect your Phone’s data at all. It won’t delete your photos your apps nothing if done right.
4.) Rooting will brick my phone: - No it doesn’t Rooting doesn’t brick your phone, flashing wrong custom rom or wrong factory images does. Flashing a wrong mod sometimes does brick your phone. But if you just root your phone it won’t be bricked. Plus if your phone is bricked there are ways by which you can fix your device without going to service center.
5.) Virus: - Many of you think that rooting makes your phone prone to virus attack. Well the thing is that android is based on Linux therefore there is no chance of any virus attack. The only thing you should be careful about is about giving root access to untrusted app.
