Micromax Unite 2
Micromax by launching unite 2 has made it clear that it will not be easy to displace micromax from its pole position in sub 10k category. Launched yesterday Micromax Unite 2 has a 4.7 (800 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat)and offers 3g connectivity. This is the first Micromax phone to run on Kitkat and it also has OTA update option. And is being touted as the ‘world’s first Phone with 21 languages support.
It has a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera. Launched at price exactly same to Moto E micromax unite 2 has lot of features in its sleeve to take on Moto E the biggest being the led flash and 2mp front cam. Plus a quad core chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz (most probably MT6582M chipset) it is expected to perform better than Moto e. However we would hold this verdict until we get our hands on this device as micromax phones have a long history of buggy roms.
We just hope that micromax does not disappoint when it comes to providing future updates for this phone. Even at this price this phones seems to give tough competition to Moto E.

Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus
The phone packs a quad-core CPU with a 1.2GHz clock, which along with 1GB of RAM and has a 4gb internal storage and runs on android jelly bean 4.3(no word on kitkat update) The TFT LCD screen is 4 inches with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. The device has the usual radio in the form of 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS which make up for the rest of its features.
The device biggest drawback is lack of android 4.4(kitkat) but it still packs enough punch to go through the daily day to day activites. Though we don’t recommend it over Moto E but it is a good buy if you dearly need that led flash and front cam.
With the launch of Moto E local brands are now forced to launch phones at even cheaper price and improved specs. Its gonna be an interesting fight between Motorola and local brands but in this battle the consumer is sure to win big.
