Xiaomi To Launch Its Range Of Smartphones in India

The Chinese smartphone giant, also known as the Apple of China, is now set to try its luck in the huge Indian markets. The company, known for its aggressive pricing had officially announced its journey to India this year in April and will be launching a series of handsets in the next few weeks.
As per the company's website, it has already sold over 17 million handsets in China. Other products from the company include devices like Mi 3, Redmi, Mi Wi-Fi and Mi Box, among others. The company had also roped in Jabong co-founder Manu Kumar Jain to head its operations in a couple of weeks ago.

The smartphone markets in India currently are flooded with local and international products gaining momentum day by day. Samsung which leads the market with 35 percent market share in Q1, followed by Micromax (15 percent), Karbonn (10 percent), Lava (6 percent) and Nokia (4 percent). The smartphone users in India varies from the high end device users to those who're fond of low budget devices with a major strata of people who go for mid-segment phones featuring heavy configuration within the price bracket of 10k to 15k INR. Lets wait and watch how Xiaomi plays its first stroke in the game on the Indian grounds
